I’m aware it is. The fact the offense has been this Jekyll and Hyde makes me far more annoyed than a misleading graphic.
Better late than never. Peña has earned it, and it would give Yordan and Tucker more at bats with guys on base, hopefully.
I have thoughts about analyzing consistent offenses vs inconsistent, but I’ll have to get further through my grad classes to do a proper analysis.

Pena in the two hole has always been his best spot, especially now that he seems to be putting together good AB’s.

Sticking him between Altuve and Alvarez means he sees more fastballs, mitigating his plate discipline issues.
Whenever you get around to doing so, I’ll be interested to read your findings.
Peña in the 2 hole would be fine with me, but it ain’t happening.
And last season you could have put him in any spot in the order and he would have struggled.
As well as he’s swinging, this ought to be a no brainer.

It would require Joe Espada to make a significant change. I just want more traffic on the bases in front of Alvarez and Tucker.
