Watch the Wesneski post game interview if you get a chance. Really great discussion on pitching to various players and some funny stuff in there too. He’s a great interview.
Not as good as Arrighetti in my opinion but pretty good. I enjoyed his talking about pitching to certain guys and his reminder that two outs are better than one.
If his command improves a little he could be a real weapon. I’m a lot higher on Ronel than a lot of people are, particularly my wife who hates him for some reason, but there’s a solid rotation lurking around in there somewhere.

Arrighetti was my favorite interview as well. Really detailed descriptions on what he was trying to do. Sometimes successfully and sometimes not.
I like Blanco. He, Javier and Wesneski were great mid-season pickups. All it will take is for one to be good, one to be ok and one to flame out, for the Astros to be in an ok position for the balance of the season. Anything better than that is gravy.

In 14.2 innings pitched, Blanco has given up 11 hits and walked 8; which isn’t bad but can be improved upon. What has hurt him is that he has given up 5 home runs. And I think only one was a solo shot. If he kept those HRs in the park everyone would be praising his comeback. And thanks to some good offense the team is 2-1 in games he has started. Also in their loss, the team was tied after 5, he gave up 2 runs that scored after he was pulled, no thanks to EDLS and the rest of the relievers who coughed up 7 more runs..

I think Blanco will be fine assuming he can stay healthy. The changeup is key to his success and the starts I watched he was having trouble commanding that pitch. Hopefully he will get better and better with command as he starts stacking up the innings.
