He was nowhere near the strike zone on that four pitch walk. He did, however have a very good night. Mucho Gusto.
He wants 32 teams so he can have 8 teams from each league make the postseason so he can have five full rounds so that he can finish up at Thanksgiving. How can you argue against that?

This was my first time seeing gusto. Nice work. How do the Astros keep finding these guys?
He’s been solid. He’s a strike throwing machine, which is nice to see. That’s obviously a big part of his success so far.

I think part of it has to be the organizational approach to game planning. Much as it may not seem like it sometimes, the Astros are really good at pitching to opposing hitters’ weaknesses. A guy like Gusto with the exact same stuff might not do as well on a lot of teams.

Trust the good defense behind you. Sometimes you’ll give up five hits, sometimes you’ll give up 10, but you won’t get killed by walks and either outcome will likely be just fine.
