FWIW Anthopoulos was insistent it was Snitkerās call whether he wanted to stay or retire. Lots of talk about how it would have been disrespectful to him to start a manager search before heād made up his mind. No idea what happened behind the scenes but Snitker may truly just have wanted to hang āem up.
Bill Schmidt fired as Rockies GM. Remains to be seen if ownership is trying to get better or worse.
Meanwhile, the $1.7b purchase of the Tampa Bay Rays is final. Fingers crossed they get a good stadium in a good location soon. The franchise and fans deserve better than a minor league park or the Trop.
Yep. BTW, I will need new tires for my 4Runner before next season. I need them for city and hi-way with occasional off road driving but nothing radical. I think Iāve narrowed it down to 3 different brands, Michelin, Nitto, and BF Goodrich.
I buy whatever my llantero has on hand when I go limping in there after having slammed into a pothole. Iām pretty sure I have two different pairs on there now, and Iām pretty sure no one has ever heard of either brand. I certainly hadnāt.
I donāt have a llantero here yet. Hopefully Iāll not be quite as friendly with the local potholes as I was in previous stops.
My wife took the car out for the first time today. After her return I got a knock on the door. It was a neighbor who parks next to us. Uh oh, I thought, my wife parked too close to their spot. Nope. She parked just fine, right in the middle of the space. The problem was sheād parked in the neighborās spot.
I buy Michelin. Period. I hear good things about Nitto, but will never own another set of BF Goodrich. One, they donāt have a blimp, and two, they suck donkey balls. Everyoneās mileage may vary though.
Same. I subscribe to the maxim of ādonāt cheap out on things that sit between you and the earthā: your bed, your chairs, your shoes, and your tires.
