Grrrrrr…
I thought we determined it was time for Bregman to do something good.
Bregman has been awful at the plate tonight.
We did. He didn’t.
They got it right. At least it wasn’t like Jim Fucking Joyce in Cleveland a few years ago, when the batter fouled one into the dugout and Joyce ruled it never touched the bat as two runs scored, costing the Astros the game.

McMahon singles to LF
Yeah, eventually. I don’t understand why it was ever a question.

Story strikes out swinging
I’m kind of curious how they got the field ready today. My daughter sent me a photo from her place in Boulder this morning, and they had a foot of snow.
I did not see Straw’s gaffe tonight, but I did see the one recently which hit off his glove after he drifted and got turned around. That should have been caught by going straight back to the wall. He looks tentative and hesitant; if the coaches think he has mastered the fundamentals of playing OF, then lack of confidence or playing tight and scared of making mistakes may be it.

Blackmon…3-2…walks, McMahon to 2B
Raley out, Smith in
This year is harder for me to watch than 2013. I expected them to be shitty then.
I just don’t think he knows where he’s going if he has to turn his back. He seems to consistently drift to his right when he does that, and he winds up with the ball on his left shoulder where he can’t get to it. If he can watch the ball the entire way he’s ok, but if he has to take his eye off and run to a spot and find it again, he’s in trouble. That’s not easy, of course, but it’s what major league center fielders do.
The ball tonight was hit at him, but he was late moving on it, and he jumped and it went over his glove. Off the bat, everyone assumed it would be caught. It was not an easy play, but a big league center fielder has to make that catch. Even a mediocre one.

Cron…0-2…gets a hanging slider right down the center and it 6-1 Rockies
Oh my.
Smith is done.
That got out of control rapidly
