I don’t know how many times they’ve fucked this call up but they’ve fucked it up twice against the Astros. It was this crew that fucked up the foul ball / hbp call against the Reds a short time ago.
It’s incredible how the league allows umpiring crews to be so bad. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Ok, just get to the next inning.
It’s happened specifically to Altuve 2 times in the last few weeks.
And a few games ago an opposing batter had one bounce between his feet, called a HBP, they reviewed it, it pretty clearly didn’t hit him, and they gave him first anyway.
It’s fucking tragic.

Diaz is making no effort to move his body out there. Yeah, they’re terrible pitches, but there are some technique problems, too.
