Hey remember when we thought that Neris would see significant improvement in Houston over what he did in Chicago because the Astros’ defense is so much better.
They closed Whittington’s, my jerky and dried sausage spot in Johnson City, so now I’ve got my uncle sherpa’ing stuff from Klein’s Market in Boerne.
I have nobody to bring me kolaches, though.
They closed Whittinton’s?!?!? They had the good jerky. Never been to Kline’s Market.

Yeah…sucks. Family wanted out, they sold the store and thought about keeping the jerky business but then they folded on that too, and the people who bought the store folded on that as well. That was a JC iconic place over my entire life, they had good stuff.
Wow, I hadn’t heard about that. They had great jerky.
Every time I went in there I was either the only customer or one of two or three.
The stuff I’ve had from Klein’s is very good.
On the other hand…there’s a turnkey jerky business sitting right there for Hudson and Chuck and Neil to finance.
