Astros @ Mariners, September 23, 2020

You were saying?

Seriously.

Strike 3 was VERY hittable and caught plenty of the plate. Get the fucking bat off your shoulders.

How to explain the collapse of all four infielders at the plate?

Strike one was a fucking floater right down the center square.

Yuli: hand injury
Altuve: inexplicable, but better of late
Correa: no idea
Bregman: no idea

There could be other injuries…

Bregman’s hammy probably isn’t full strength.

This team on the road really does look like the bottom of the rebuild

I’m not sure which is more depressing: the days when the Astros were scoring 9 runs per game and losing, or these days when giving up a run means the ballgame.

This team is far worse.

Yuli is trying to slug his way out of his slump. That rarely works.

The most maddening thing about this team is you don’t know what any of this means. Are these players their history over the course of their careers and their recent performances are an aberration or are they what they have done on the field this season? In the final week of a 60 game season can we expect this to change?

  1. No idea what any of this season means
  2. No reason to expect anything to change this week

If that’s the swing Reddick is going to employ against this guy, pray for a fastball or prepare for a roll over.

Doctor, there’s a heartbeat…

Man, he doinked that one off the very end of the bat, but we’ll take it.

Don’t give me hope like this

right off the end of the bat.

Clutch knock from Josh.

Dusty finally recognizes Straw’s sole purpose

Will George still have shoes after his first swing?

To stand at 1B?

How is Straw not at 3B?
