Astros @ Mariners, July 23, 2022

Winker has had quite the day throwing things.

You ever seen that happen? I havenā€™t.

All the time. It happened in a Postseason game between the Rangers and Blue Jays a couple of years ago. The umpire called time, but runners kept running. After consultation, they correctly ruled that it was a live ball and runners were allowed to advance. Someone got tossed arguing it, but it was the correct call.

I think the Astros could used another run.

Ouch!

Iā€™d like that embroidered on a throw pillow please.

Castillo for the Mariners

Gurriel hits a chopper to SSā€¦6-3
McCormick flies out F9
Meyers hit by pitchā€¦right on the old wing hingeā€¦he rubs a little dirt on it, heā€™s fine
Maldonado grounds out 4-3

3-1 Astros

Not 100% sold on Abreu here.

Montero threw 19 pitches on Thursday. He could probably go today, but Dusty said he was unavailable.

I know they are working with the thinnest pen imaginable, I guess my thinking is that Mushinski should already have the nerves out of the way. I would have stuck with him until otherwise necessary.

Iā€™m about 68% sold on Abreu.

He did both games on Thursday, which might be the reasoning.

I think Jake could use an elbow guard

Now Iā€™m about 78% sold.

86%, Iā€™m getting out my check book.

B9:

Abreu will try to close it out. Meyers out, Dubon into CF

Santana pops out F6
SuƔrez pops out F3
Frazier strikes out swinging

Astros win!

Get greedy. Sweep 'em tomorrow.
