I like Blummer fine. He’s gotten a lot better over the years. As for his home run in the World Series, I don’t hold that against him.

He is far and away the most enjoyable former-player-color-guy in the game (post JD version). He always highlights the fun in the game and isn’t at all a “back in my day” which most of the nation’s local color guys cannot help embracing.

Hunter’s ramping up the swing and miss. I’m not sure how he can squeeze two more innings in, but he’s trending in that direction.
Yeah, he always seemed to be a laid back, easy going kind of guy. Was an ok player but was popular with the fans. He was really stiff his first year or two in the booth, but he’s loosened up.
I am hearing some wild things about the umpiring mood in the MLB.
I think JD was an anomaly. Blum is as good as it gets these days.

We’re totally spoiled with the whole crew of TK, Blum and Julia. Like a lot of us I watch a bunch of mlb.tv from around the country, and while there are plenty of individuals and discrete announcing teams I enjoy a great deal, no other broadcast has the complete package that we get to enjoy.
