Good grief. Season on the line and this team is about as apathetic as I’ve seen.
Sincerely. Fuck this dog shit ass team. Nobody on this roster has any interest in putting up a fight.
Turn it off. This team sucks dick on ice.
Seriously. Fuck these fucking quitters. ZERO life from a team that can’t afford to lose.
It’s fucking pathetic.
Three singles. That’s it. And two of them were deflected by infielders. Truly pathetic.
They’re .5 games out of a post season spot and I forgot about the game tonight after the 4th inning. Got in bed and thought “oh yeah, I should check on that”.
The only collapse worse than Houston’s seems to be Detroit’s. They had a 9.5 game lead less than 2 weeks ago. Hinch and Espada both may be looking for jobs after this is over with.
Anybody who is surprised by the result of tonight’s game has not been paying attention. The A’s have been a sharply better team than the Astros for a while now. Since the All-Star break, the Astros are 28-33 while the A’s are 33-26. A full 6 games better.
Everyone that watched last night’s game is awesome. I’m a bad fan. For the first time since 2011, McLane’s last year of ownership, and the selling off of assets, I could muster no interest in watching a game. I didn’t have anything else planned, I just didn’t want to go to the pain of watching the offense struggle to score one or two runs. I’m a bad fan.
Don’t forget the $340M Mets
I’m with you, had a full day this morning so I went to bed early
I didn’t plan on watching last night but did until about the 8th. I think the possibility of not having meaningful baseball to watch here in a few days is sucking me in. What I hate is that I accepted that the run was over about a third of the way through the season and had made my peace with it. Then the team over achieved and had me rolling on a high only to pull the rug right out from beneath me here right at the tail end of the season. Fucking cruel thing to do to someone huh?
