Astros at Sacramento, 6/16/25

Again with the gidp.

Scooby Dubin in.

Dubin groovin’ with a 1-2-3 7th.

Top of the order goes swingin’, lookin’, and swingin’.

Geeeez!

King in and hits the #9 hitter.

Two out, runners at 2nd and 3rd for the A’s in the 8th.

I thought a HBP after dugout warnings were issued was an automatic ejection.

After further review: OUT at 2nd!
To the 9th

Christian Mendoza leads it off for the Astros.

Abreu gives up a two-run homer and Sacto walks it off 3-1.

Get 'em tomorrow.

Fuck. Walked in the door to listen the A’s broadcast celebrate their minor league team walking off the Astros.

Will be at the game mañana. Touch wood, I ain’t bringing the bad juju.

Texas Sun. Great song. Mariella is another good one.

Hard to win a game where you ground into approximately 17,000 double plays

After that 2nd inning abomination (two singles and a double, no score), I said to myself, “self, I’ve got a baaaad feeling about this
” and went to bed since I had to be up in 5 1/2 hours. When I saw the score when I woke up, it was the least surprising thing ever to me.
