I thought he did well to keep it in the infield. He had Suarez out with any kind of throw. I see no reason for Montero not to make that play, and I donāt understand how Tucker lets that ball get past him.
The āhitā after the walk bounced literally ON the mound just to the right of the rubber but Montero fell off to the 1B side and couldnāt field it.
I should add it came back SLOWLY.
I was shocked when he didnāt field it.
