Astros at Dodgers, 8/4/21

6 shutout inning. Not too shabby

The crowd satisfied their blood lust. This is the same bunch which permanently injured a Giants’ fan years ago. I feel for the Astros fans who braved that mob today snd yesterday.

Man, I hate the fucking dojers and living among the dojer no talent ass clown fan base here in SoCal.

I’ll take that split in an incredibly hostile and vile environment.

I do not think you blame 40,000 people for the action of one or two criminals who assaulted the Giants fan, but the crowd in this series would give the animals at Yankee Stadium a run for their money. Brave people wore Astros gear to Dodger Stadium the last two days.

Yes, the bullpen was definitely the silver lining tonight. Most important out of their performance was just one walk over 6 innings. If and when James and Baez are activated, I don’t know who the odd two out are, but I really like what I’ve seen from Montero, Maton and Garcia.

I have forgotten James and have drawn a line through his name. I hope Baez comes back strong.

James is staying in Sugarland unless there is an injury. Baez eventually joins and that might finally be the end of Raley

This far, all of the new guys have shown they can pitch. The starters as a group, not so much lately. The Greinke game was the worst for me.

I don’t remember seeing McCullers look better than he looked Tuesday.

Agreed. That is why I said as a group.

I’m on the road again for a couple of weeks, so I won’t be around much. You guys need to try to keep them from repeating their August funk.

Halfway thru the 1st game, with the Astros leading 1-0, Dodger talkers bemoaned the fact that 5-7 runs were needed for a win. No way to win with 1-2 runs… (B/f the last out of game #2, they were getting worried.)

Orel Hershiser was good as the color guy - he really liked what he saw from Graveman. Several times he exclaimed, ā€œTHAT was a perfect pitch!ā€

Great to see him feeling so good about his command.

He was in charge.

Agreed, being subjected to the dojers’ homer TV broadcast was a feat in and of itself, but hershiser was surprisingly good.

At one point on their broadcast and during one of Altuve’s at bat, both commentators stayed silent for a good 20 seconds, allowing the chorus of boos to go uninterrupted.

Classless move.

Yep, that did not go unnoticed, trust me.

The Dodgers are among the biggest collection of crybabies and hypocrites on the planet. They lost the World Series to the Astros in 2017 because the Astros played better. Not due to sign stealing. Plus, good luck trying to hear the banging of a trash can with how loud MMP was in games three through five. Also, I have a bridge to sell any Dodger fan that believes their team wasn’t aggressively trying to steal signs, too. This is an organization that routinely pulled certain hitters early in games when they would face a reliever that threw from the same side they hit from.

The guy in a Gagne shirt booing Altuve tells us everything we need to know about their fan base.

Amen to this.
My usual reply to the dojer backers I run into here in SoCal who give me grief and whine is usually, ā€œGuess the dojers shouldn’t have blown home field advantage and lost Games 2 & 7.ā€
Most of them are self-entitled and believe every year the dojers should win the WS. They smack of the same arrogance as Evil Empire/yanks backers and most are just as classless.

I truly think they are trying to take the title away from NYY. They are tossing money at players and hoping to win. I thought about them losing in the WS, then decided, no. I want them to spend all the money and LOSE! I hope and pray I get my wish.
