That’s it, folks…I’m hitting the hay.
Just looked at the box score. This was ruled a hit.
Not surprised. It’s hard to earn an error these days.
I did not see the play so dunno. I was looking to see what they scored on the Straw squibbler and saw the Bregman ruling also.
ETA: autocorrect thinks Alex’s name is Bergman.
I thought the Straw hit could have ruled an error too. Olson bobbled the ball, and then made a high toss which made Wendelken leave his feet. If Olson fields it cleanly and it’s a good toss, Straw is probably out. It would have been close, and Straw’s speed was a factor, so I’m not surprised it was scored a hit.
Straw"s nubber was ruled an error - no RBI. But the run counts. That’s what happens when you make contact and put pressure on the defense.
Bregman was playing in about 2/3 between home and 3rd. No chance to react. I’m fine with it being ruled a hit.
Yeah, Straw’s was an E.
Ah, ok. I saw only one E in the box score, and assumed it was Bregman.
Pretty heady play by Altuve to catch Andrus napping. Pretty dumb of Andrus to not even consider that Altuve might tag and set up for a throw.
Man, Sphinx. Your hero worship is off the charts. Tagging up and going home on a pop up in the infield is a “heady play?” Andrus was “dumb” not to expect it? Come on.
