Not bunting wasn’t the problem in the 10th and 12th. Bregman and Yordan moved the runners from second over. It was Yainer and Tucker not coming through.

Kyle Tucker has been awful. Which is understandable. It is exactly the reason you send him to get some at bats before plugging him into the middle of the lineup IN A FIGHT TO WIN THE DIVISION!

Perhaps Tucker could have considered a bunt? Has he gotten a hit since coming back?
Padres just hung a couple more on Seattle, now leading 7-2 in the 7th. So we’ve got that going for us.
He’s had one, an opposite field bloop in the 9th inning Sunday when they were down seven runs. He really hasn’t even been competitive.
Both him and Verlander are trying to rush back to the major league level and it’s not pretty. Hopefully it’s a journey that turns a corner in the next couple of weeks.
Tucker needs to turn the corner in the next couple of days at the latest. Next couple of weeks he may be watching the Postseason on TV.
As could the whole organization if they don’t stop losing to crappy teams.
