Ramirez bought a ticket for this one
Yup. It is all his.
Ramirez (RHP) pitching
Correa 3-0, 3-1, walks
Tucker grounds to the 2Bman in medium RF, throw pulls 1B off the bag, Correa takes 3rd as it was uncovered
(We’ve seen that)
Straw lines out to short
5-1 Astros heading to the 9th
Straw has hit two balls hard right at the SS tonight. He needs to recalibrate his sights.
I guess Altuve wears the pants on that side of the infield.
He tickles me on pop ups. They ALL are his.
Pop ups are like sliders…never met one he didn’t like.
Thank you, Mr. HPU! His gramps must have fought in the Pacific.
For a pitcher, Ohtani sure complains a lot about strikes called on the edge.
That one was near the edge of his ankle.
Pitch tracker showed it splitting the bottom edge.
Pressly pitching
Fletcher pops out to 2nd; Altuve stares Yuli down after making the catch for invading his personal space
Ohtani 3-2, Ks looking
Trout F8
Astros win 5-1
Hell of a game from both starting pitchers. Lance was a little better 3 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 9 K
And its always nice to see pitching moves blow up in Joe Maddon’s face.
That was a fun win, especially against a really tough pitcher. And after having shit themselves last night. And made me stay up too late.
Ohtani is damn impressive. He definitely is in the conversation about the best two-way player ever.
ETA: I am talking only about his physical talent and not about his talent or his behavior at the plate. Mark reminded me about his incessant whining, which he does.
Yep it has been a strike all night.
Last night’s HPU and tonight’s had 2 very different zones (postage stamp last night) but both were pretty consistent.
I agree he called a lot of low strikes.
My only problem with him is he plays for a division rival.
Damn impressive baseball player.
Also refreshing that both skippers stuck with their guy, and the one who blinked first took it in the shorts.
Both had very low pitch counts.
Game over well before 10 PM.
We were still in the 6th this time last night
