The Boss weighs in:
Streets of Minneapolis
A couple of thoughts:
Trump announces the KennedâŚerâŚTrump-Kennedy Center will close for renovations. It was renovated six years ago. Virtually every booked performer has cancelled. That might have something to do with it.
Every time I see a photo or video of Steven Miller, that tune from Wizard of Oz comes into my head. The one they play when the flying monkeys get going âda-da, da-da, da-daaa-daâ!
Then this happened:
There has to be some panic going in the Republican party, especially in Texas. A good sign!
Iâm always skeptical of such characterizations; but, turnout was very good and R turnout was well over 50%. Meaning the win encompassed all the Democrats, all the independents, and a large portion of the Republicans. That should be a big concern for any Republicans that retain a modicum of cognitive ability.
The Trump-Kennedy Center has closed for two years for renovations. Apparently there are problems with performers cancelling, lack of contributions, and disappearing audiences. This is a photo from the NYT of the Trump-Kennedy Center on the banks of the Gulf of America.
I donât know why the board chair didnât schedule round the clock showings of Melania.. That would pack in the AIS.
I think thatâs supposed to be the âGuff uv 'Merikaâ.
Itâs exceptional.
I guess it shouldnât surprise me, but commercials supporting Trump now use an AI generated version of his voice. We might have a hologram run atop the Republican ticket in 2028, and will of course win in a landslide.
In the careful what you wish for department: Chip Roy is not running for re-election in US District 21. The Trump-annointed candidate is Mark Teixeira (that Mark Teixeira), and his radio commercials are awful. His touted bona fides are, in order: Christian, political outsider, gun owner, anti-abortion, full supporter of Trumpâs agenda.
I know nothing about the other 9 or so candidates in next monthâs primary, but Iâm assuming heâs the favorite
Would have thought Sharia Law was his top issue, as itâs apparently taking over all of Texas. Dan Patrick has it as one of the top issues to address next session.
I wonder if I just live in some parallel universe to most Texas Republicans, one where Sharia Law doesnât influence my life, at all.
Yankees, Rangers, Trump.
There are three candidates in the Democratic Primary. All of them look like good people.
Iâll be deep in the cold cold ground before I vote Republican in Texas again
Just saw a Chip Roy commercial where heâs promising to get his hands dirty and âput a stop to Sharia Law and the Islamification of Texasâ. Whatever that is.
Fuck, youâre rightâŚChip Roy is not running for his House seat again, heâs running for Texas AG
At least he canât be worse.
Letâs not get too crazy here.
Chip Roy is, at the very best, an absolute shitgibbon.
Actually, he can. He might not be worse than Paxton would have been, but at the current rate of descent, he could well be worse in the future than Paxton is now.
No one could be worse.
Itâs modern Republican for âget rid of the camel jockeysâ
