7-17 Orioles @ Astros

Lambert cruising along in the 3rd with 2 outs then a dropped tag on a steal attempt, 2 walks on not close pitches, a missed tag on a back pick by Walker at first, and another walk to Alonzo ties the game before Lambert gets out of it.

Absolute pants shitting.

1-1 mid 3

Seven k’s for Lambert through four. Yordan is two for two. Walker is oh for whatever and has left a busload of runners on base.

2-1 Astros, middle of the 4th.

Oh, Spence drew a 9 pitch walk in his first PA.

I do not understand how this pitcher for the O’s is fooling the Astros.

It’s all breaking slop around the zone. Sit back and drive the fucking ball.

Outside of a player or two, this isn’t the most patient group of hitters I’ve ever seen.

And Vasquez burns the Astros last challenge on a 1-1 count with nobody on in the 5th after wasting the 1st one on a obvious ball 4 in the 3rd.

And the O’s follow suit and burn their second challenge on a 2-1 pitch that was clearly a strike.

No more challenges for the game on either side.

HPU about to call everything.

Lambert finishes six, gives up one run, scatters three hits, three walks which of course is the only thing that hurt him, and ten strikeouts. Astros still up 2-1.

Spence hits a 3 hopper between 2nd and SS for his first big league hit to lead off bottom 7.

Spence with his first knock.

Let’s at least let him get injured a time or two, really get the full Astros experience.

Is this guy Miles Straw 2.0?

He’s bigger and he’s fast as fuck.

Throw Yordan a change. I dare you.

Sort of an unintentional IBB to Yordan. Bases juiced for Puraydees. One out.

And takes a breaking ball in the center fucking square for strike 3.

Walker not satisfied until he leaves the bases loaded.

The Astros swung at at least 3 pitches that bounced or were going to bounce before they literally threw a bat at the ball that inning.

Absolutely fucking brutal, bases loaded, takes strike 3 down the middle then pop foul to the catcher. Putrid.

When he swung at an unhittable strike one I knew we were in for a rough AB. Very uncharacteristic.
