2024 AL Wild Card, Game 2 Tigers @ Astros, October 2, 2024

How many weak ground balls to 2B can Yordan hit?

This fucking bullpen ended up being such a let down.

Guenther pitching. . Bregman 5-3.

Would have been nice if we’d have seen this from Pressly yesterday.

He’s clearly hurting

Lots of blame to go around for these 2 losses. Hunter Brown, Neris, Blanco, and Abreu excluded.

Early in the season we thought the backend of our bullpen would be lock down, the offense above average, and the starters a disaster. Going into the playoffs our starters are now the best aspect of the team but it may not be enough to get out of the first round.

They just gave up after that wild pitch.

DĂaz 6-3.

It’s not going to be enough. The Astros aren’t scoring four runs in the ninth. Dana Brown has a lot of work to do fixing this offense.

With Yordan not at 100% this lineup just isn’t scary at all.

Brown has his work cut out for him I don’t see a path forward that doesn’t involve trading at least 2 of Framber, Tucker, and Pressly. And I hope Tucker is the one who stays.

Yes, and it’s not Paul Goldschmidt.

Even with him, it’s not particularly scary. Just pitch around him.

Pressly has almost no value.

Top of the 9th. Rogers 1b.

Even with Yordan at 100%, the lineup is not scary past the five hole hitter. Caratini has been a nice find this year, but when he’s playing nearly everyday and batting sixth, that shows the lack of depth. Peña has not taken the steps forward they hoped, and Chas had an awful year.

He has no trade value at $14 million next year.

Caratini was a good sign as a backup catcher, not a starting 1b batting 6th. But that’s where we are.
