I’m on the other end… My son turned 8 in 2017, and we got to go to an Astros World Series game together (and, a few days later, watch Houston win the whole thing) – two things I wasn’t sure I’d ever get to see.
(He’s now almost 16, and basically only remembers this run of success.)

Astros in “advanced” talks with 1B Christian Walker and progressing toward a deal. Would seem to close the door on any chance of a reunion with their Jewish Walker.

I’m gonna hold on to the hope that Bregman gets re-signed and Paredes is delt for an outfielder that can hit and throw.
Deal is done at 3/$60M per Nightengale. He’d been seeking a fourth year. Good to keep it to three. It’ll cover his age 34–36 seasons.

Really love this deel for Walker. Three years at $20M per should still leave you some room to upgrade in the outfield, and if you can move Montero or Pressly you free up even more space.

Looks as if greed has got the best of Bregman with this signing of Walker. Very disappointing in that aspect. Bregman will join the ranks of Keuchel, Cole and Correa. I hope Paredes wins a gold glove and hits 40 home runs next year.
I hope Bregman gets a standing ovation during his first return and I hope he goes 0-5 with 5k’s during that game.
