I was a little surprised that they didn’t bring in Chapman to face Singleton where Dusty of course would have gone to Yainer. Pretty good at bat by Jon, not a great result. I really thought he was going to work another walk.
That and the fact that it was probably the logical move.
Yeah, Singleton over Diaz was peak Dusty.

This team’s bench is all defense aside from Diaz… and I guess Singleton, not sure what he brings to the table other than being left handed.
Leadoff walk to the 8 hitter.
Chas and Diaz are your only viable bench bats tonight, and both love to swing at junk off the plate away.
